Stevie Nicks is planning another benefit concert for the Arizona Heart Foundation, an organization she's long supported.
Don Henley will also be on the bill for the Aug. 4 show at Phoenix's Dodge Theatre, which will raise money for a new Cardiovascular Research and Education Building, planned for the Arizona Heart Hospital campus in Phoenix.
Tickets go on sale Saturday (7/9) through Ticketmaster outlets. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.) Donor tickets and post-party event tickets are available through the Arizona Heart Foundation; call 602-266-2200 ext. 4447 for more information.
A mistrial has been declared in a wrongful-death lawsuit brought against the city of Los Angeles by the family of slain rapper The Notorious B.I.G. .
The family contends that a Los Angeles police officer was involved in the rapper's 1997 shooting death, and that police covered up the officer's involvement in the crime.
No one has been charged in the rapper's slaying.
Australian rockers INXS , which will fill their long-vacant lead-singer slot during "Rock Star: INXS," a new CBS reality-TV series that debuts next week, has signed a recording deal with Epic Records. The label plans to release a new INXS album late this year.
INXS hasn't released an album of new material since frontman Michael Hutchence died by hanging in 1997. The coroner ruled the death a suicide.
"Portrait of an American Girl," the first studio album from singer/songwriter Judy Collins , hit stores this week. The set features several new originals, along with cover songs including Train's "Drops of Jupiter" and Bruce Cockburn's "Pacing the Cage."
Collins also recently released the book "Morning Noon and Night," described in a press release as "written for every artist in any creative discipline, with its beautifully balanced offering of personal reflection, counsel, and living example of how to live the creative life to the fullest."
