Crossfade, Seether fill in summer itinerary blanks

South Carolina rockers Crossfade , whose touring schedule of the last year would challenge even the heartiest punk and country artists, continue to tack piles of concert appearances into their 2005 schedule.

Crossfade has played about 300 dates over the last year, and is currently in the midst of an expanding series of club and fair dates with Seether, another group that's been a recent rock-radio staple.

Crossfade's self-titled debut hit stores last year, and has sold consistently thanks to the group's busy touring schedule and its ubiquitous single "Cold." The album is now certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, and is quickly approaching platinum status, according to the quartet's publicist.

"I was completely blown away," lead singer/guitarist Ed Sloan said in a statement of the success of "Cold." "We didn't even hear it as a single at first, and now to keep hitting all these milestones, it's amazing to us."

In April, "Crossfade" was reissued in DualDisc format, which allows for the album's audio to appear on one side of the disc and DVD content to appear on the other. The DVD side of the disc features live footage, a lengthy interview with the band and the "Cold" video.

The group recently released the album's third single, "Colors," which follows the cut "So Far Away."

Seether--a band that's also known for its relentless touring--is on the road behind its latest release, "Karma and Effect," which hit stores in May.
