Lucinda Williams tacks more dates onto tour schedule
Singer Lucinda Williams has added another set of dates to her current tour, which began in June and will now take keep her on the road until early October.
The busy Williams will make an appearance at September's Austin City Limits Festival, then proceed to Corpus Christi, TX, to kick off the newly added leg of her tour. Her current schedule calls for her to end her stand Oct. 3 in Toronto.
Williams' latest release is "Live @ the Fillmore," a two-disc set that houses 22 songs she recorded during an early 2004, three-night stand at the famous San Francisco venue. The DVD "Live from Austin, TX," which captures Williams' Dec. 5, 1998 performance for Austin City Limits, is also in stores now.
Williams' most recent studio set is 2003's "World Without Tears," which was produced by Mark Howard (Bob Dylan, U2). The album received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Folk Album, and its single "Righteously" was nominated for Best Female Rock Performance.
