Briefly: Pixies, The Meters, Little Milton, Lady of Soul Awards

" Pixies Sell Out," a new concert DVD chronicling the band's July 3, 2004 concert in Belfort, France, is due in stores Oct. 4.

In addition to the full Belfort concert, the disc includes 16 additional bonus tracks filmed at various locations, including the 2004 Coachella Valley Music & Arts and Austin City Limits festivals.

More than 25 years after separating, The Meters --Art Neville, Zigaboo Modeliste, George Porter, Jr., and Leo Nocentelli--have announced they're reuniting to play some live shows.

The group will re-emerge Oct. 30 with a performance at the Vegoose event in Las Vegas, and will also play a Nov. 25 show at New York City's new Nokia Theatre Times Square.

More confirmed shows will be announced soon, according to a press release, and more information is available at the group's website.

Blues singer/guitarist Little Milton Campbell died Thursday (8/4), about a week after he suffered a stroke, according to his record company. He was 71. He is best known for writing and recording "The Blues is Alright."

Ciara, Toni Braxton and Brian McKnight will co-host the 10th annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards, to air Sept. 17-24 in national TV syndication. Among the artists scheduled to be on hand for the ceremony are Stevie Wonder , Aretha Franklin and John Legend.
