Weezer, Foo Fighters confirm new dates

Fellow alt-rock veterans Weezer and Foo Fighters , who launch a round of co-headlining shows Sept. 8 in the Atlanta area, have confirmed a handful of new dates.

Among the additions to the itinerary are San Diego; Phoenix; St. Paul, MN; and Rosemont, IL. Ticket on-sale information for the new dates is in the itinerary below; tickets for the tour's seven previously announced shows are on sale now.

The tour will also touch down in Champaign, IL; Grand Rapids, MI; Detroit; Cleveland; Columbus; Baltimore; Worcester, MA; New York City; Philadelphia; Fresno, CA; Seattle; and Portland, OR; details about those shows will be announced shortly, according to the Foo Fighters' publicist.

Foo Fighters released their fifth album, the two-disc set "In Your Honor," in June. Disc One features hard-edged rockers, while Disc Two largely houses acoustic tracks.

Weezer is backing its new LP, "Make Believe," which hit stores in May and debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart.

Foo Fighters are currently in the midst of a brief Canadian tour. Weezer, meanwhile, recently wrapped up a three-week North American tour at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
