Trapt readies new album, sets up shows
California-based rock-quartet Trapt issues its sophomore set next month, and will back the disc with a headlining run on U.S. club circuit.
The tour kicks off on the group's home turf Sept. 13, and dates are stacked up through early November. A pair of August festival appearances and an early September Boston show are also on tap. Details are shown below.
The same day the group launches its headlining run, Warner Bros. drops "Someone in Control." The set features the single "Stand Up," one of four new tracks streaming at the group's MySpace.com website.
"This record is very personal and it touches on the fine lines between taking and giving up control," singer Chris Brown said of the new record in a recent blog entry. "The last three years have completely changed our lives. We see things differently. We grew up a little more. Things are definitely not as they seem, but are always changing and we have had to adapt to those changes. The different members of the band have more complex personal lives, and I think we are learning to balance our lives together as well as being alone."
"Someone in Control" is the follow-up to Trapt 's self-titled, 2002 debut. The platinum-certified set spawned the group's breakthrough hit, "Headstrong."
