The always-loquacious Henry Rollins [ tickets ]--who splits his time between music, acting, writing and public speaking--will mark his 25th year on the road with a spoken-word tour this fall.

Dubbed "25 Years of Bulls---," the two-month outing kicks off Sept. 29 in Phoenix. Rollins will warm up for the run with a six-date college tour in September. Details are shown below.

"Since the last tour I have done a lot of extensive travel to Iraq, Kuwait, Siberia, South Korea and other places and picked up some hopefully interesting stories," Rollins said in a press release. "We are living in interesting times and as bad as things are, I draw considerable inspiration from some of the things I'm seeing and people I'm meeting. I'm looking forward to getting out on the road and talking about it all."

The tour is sponsored by the Independent Film Channel (IFC), which broadcasts Rollins' television series, "Henry's Film Corner." The program is described in a press release as a "multi-dimensional show [that] combines Henry's passion for film and his intellectual yet entertaining reviews with uncensored, no-holds-barred debate about films, celebrities, and social and political issues in America."

On Aug. 25, Rollins heads to Egypt to entertain American troops. The trek marks his sixth USO excursion in less than two years; previous USO tours have taken him to Afghanistan, Qatar, and Kyrgystan in late 2003; Iraq and Kuwait in May, 2004; Honduras in August, 2004; and Afghanistan in December, 2004.

Later this year, Rollins will turn up on the big screen with a role in "The Alibi," a film starring Steve Coogan and Rebecca Romijn. Rollins also has a lead role in the Project Greenlight feature "Feast," due out in January 2006.

Earlier this year, Rollins issued "Shock and Awe," which was filmed during his 2004 spoken-word tour. A clip from the flick is posted at his website.

Since rising to prominence in the early '80s at the helm of the post-punk group Black Flag, Rollins has gone on to enjoy success not only as the frontman of the Rollins Band, but also as a television and film personality, and as the founder of his own company, 2.13.61. Through 2.13.61--his birthdate--Rollins distributes his Rollins Band and spoken-word albums, books he has authored, and other Rollins-related merchandise, as well as similar works by other artists. His latest book, "Roomanitarian," is scheduled for release in November.
