Trapt's itinerary stretches deep into the fall
California rockers Trapt , who drop a new album titled "Someone in Control" Sept. 13, continue to stack additional dates onto their North American tour behind the set.
The meat of the band's itinerary is now set to get underway Sept. 22 in Chico, CA, and shows are booked through mid-November. More dates are in the works that will carry the outing into mid-December, but haven't been finalized, according to the band's publicist.
"Someone in Control" features the single "Stand Up," one of four new tracks streaming at the group's MySpace.com website.
"This record is very personal and it touches on the fine lines between taking and giving up control," singer Chris Brown said of the new album in a recent blog entry. "The last three years have completely changed our lives. We see things differently. We grew up a little more. Things are definitely not as they seem, but are always changing and we have had to adapt to those changes. The different members of the band have more complex personal lives, and I think we are learning to balance our lives together as well as being alone."
Joining Trapt on the tour will be fellow rock acts Blindside and Aphasia. Blindside recently released its new disc, "The Great Depression," which debuted at No. 89 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and Aphasia's self-titled debut--which features the song "Flatline," from the film "War of the Worlds"--is due out Sept. 13.
