Collective Soul books more North American shows

Rockers Collective Soul , who've been on the road almost non-stop since November of last year, plan to keep their tour rolling into well into the fall.

The group will wrap up the current leg of its run in mid-September with a trio of Hawaiian concerts, after which the members will take about two weeks off before launching a new round of shows that begins with a Sept. 24 performance in New York City. The itinerary, which appears below, stretches into November and includes a lengthy stretch of Canadian dates.

Last November, Collective Soul issued "Youth," its first new studio set since 2000's "Blender." The new album features the cuts "Counting the Days," "Better Now" and the just-released third single, "How Do You Love," a streaming-audio version of which is posted at the group's website.

"Youth" is Collective Soul's inaugural release on its own label, El Music Group, through which the band also issued "From the Ground Up," an eight-song collection that surfaced in May. The disc features acoustic renditions of seven of the group's previously released numbers, as well as a new acoustic track titled "Youth," which did not appear on the album of the same title.

Formed in 1994, Collective Soul made a name for itself with the chart-topping hits "December," "Shine," "The World I Know," "Gel," "Blame" and "Precious Declaration." The band has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, according to its publicist.
