Gwar set to mount 20th anniversary tour

Just in time for Halloween, costumed rock outfit GWAR will suit up for a North American headlining tour that marks the group's 20th anniversary.
The run launches on the East Coast in early October, and will last "until everything is dead," according to a press release, though the group's official itinerary is so far scheduled to wrap up on the West Coast in mid-November. Details are included below.
"There have been abundant rumors of a hideous summoning, and the great beast T-Rex GOR GOR stirs in his subterranean lair," group frontman Oderus Urungus said in a statement. "We will harness our gore-flecked war machines as GWAR returns with a devastating 20th anniversary tour, damning all humankind to an eternal doom of pus-drenched necro-bestial nasal violation!"
The outing will feature show-openers Devil Driver, A Dozen Furies and Mensrea.
Since its formation in 1985, GWAR has released 10 albums, beginning with its 1988 debut, "Hell-O." The group's most recent studio set is last year's "War Party." The concert album "Live from Mt. Fuji" followed earlier this year.
