Briefly: 50 Cent, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Burt Bacharach
Fans who pre-order the new video game "50 Cent : Bulletproof," due in stores this November, will receive a previously unreleased 50 Cent concert DVD with their purchase.
The DVD, titled "No Fear, No Mercy Live," was recorded during the rapper's fall 2003 European tour, and includes nine tracks mixed by G-Unit producer Sha Money XL.
"American Idol 4" winner Carrie Underwood will release her new single, "Jesus, Take the Wheel," to radio on Oct. 18. Her debut album, "Some Hearts," hits stores Nov. 15.
R&B star Usher will headline Project Restart--a benefit concert for the victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita--on Oct. 9 at Atlanta's Philips Arena. Additional performers will be announced.
Composer Burt Bacharach issues a new album titled "At this Time" on Nov. 1. Dr. Dre contributed drum loops to three of the album's tracks, and Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright and Chris Boti also make appearances.
