Singer/songwriter Ben Folds [ tickets ]' latest North American tour is now scheduled to run deep into November thanks to the addition of a large batch of shows that includes three dates with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Folds' outing, which focuses on clubs and college venues, gets underway Oct. 8 in Savannah, GA. He recently wrapped up a North American co-headlining trek with Rufus Wainwright, and is currently touring Japan.

The symphonic gigs--set to take place in Baltimore and North Bethesda, MD--are scheduled for Nov. 10-12, and follow Folds' March 2005 performance with the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra, which was filmed for a forthcoming DVD. A release date has not been announced.

Folds is backing his May release, "Songs for Silverman," his first full-length studio set since 2001's "Rockin' the Suburbs." Following "Silverman," Folds dropped the online-only release "iTunes Originals," a collection of new songs and an in-depth interview with the singer/pianist that is available exclusively via Apple's iTunes Music Store.

Fans who can't make it to one of Folds' live appearances this fall can catch him on TV during PBS's Oct. 29 edition of its "Austin City Limits" concert series.
