Pet Shop Boys' Chicago Concert To Be Webcast

A live webcast of a Chicago performance by the Pet Shop Boys --who currently are supporting the just-released album "Nightlife" with their first major tour in eight years--is set for Nov. 7 at the Tunes.com Internet music network website.

The duo of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe kicked off their North American theater tour in Miami on Oct. 20, and will conclude it with shows Nov. 10-11 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. Following that they will return to Europe to continue the tour, which is scheduled to run through June, according to Parlophone Records' official Pet Shop Boys website.

According to various reports from the road, the Pet Shop Boys' set lists have included material that dates back to the band's breakthrough track, the synth-pop hit ''West End Girls'' (which reached No. 1 on the U.S. pop charts in 1986), and spans their entire career.

The first U.S. single from ''Nightlife'' (Parlophone/Sire), ''New York City Boy,'' is currently at No. 16 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
