Static-X looks to 'Start a War' during fall roadtrip
Industrial-metal outfit Static-X , which mounted a lengthy summer tour, will take a second pass through the states this fall as it continues to support its latest album, "Start a War."
The band returns to the road in early November, and dates are stacked up through mid-December. Details are included below.
Fellow rockers Ill Nino and Opiate for the Masses will hold down the tour's opening slots.
"Both bands are friends of ours and badass live bands, so this is gonna be an entire night you won't want to miss," Static-X frontman Wayne Static said in a message posted at his group's website.
Released in June, "Start a War" is Static-X's first new studio set since 2003's "Shadow Zone," and features returning guitarist Koichi Fukuda, who takes over for Tripp Eisen; Eisen--who replaced Fukuda following the release of 2001's "Machine"--was ejected from the band earlier this year after he was arrested and charged with sex crimes involving underage girls.
Three cuts from "Start a War," including the title track and first single "I'm the One," are streaming at Static-X's website. The group recently shot a video for the album's second single, "Dirthouse," which is expected to hit television around the same time that the group launches the tour.
New Jersey-based Latin metal sextet Ill Nino released its third album, "One Nation Underground," in late September, while Opiate for the Masses delivered its debut, "The Spore," back in April.
