311 tour dates multiply, opening acts named

Omaha-based alt-rockers 311 have fleshed out more shows for their fall tour, which kicks off Wednesday night (10/19) in San Diego and now stretches into mid-December.

Additions to the schedule include a few late-November stops in the South, followed by a stretch of December dates that currently wrap-up with a two-night stand in Los Angeles.

Tickets for most of the group's previously announced shows are on sale now, while those for a number of new dates are scheduled to hit the box office over the next two weekends.

The Exit will open most shows on the first half of the tour, and Alien Ant Farm will take over during most of the second half. Pepper, Zack Hexum, Blackalicious, Grasshopper Takeover, Shootyz Groove and Agents of the Sun will rotate through the slot on select dates. Details are included in the itinerary below.

Information on ticket pre-sales is available at 311's website.

311 is hitting the road behind its recently released eighth album, "Don't Tread on Me," which surfaced in August and debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set follows 2003's "Evolver" and last year's best-of collection, "Greatest Hits."
