Bad Religion spreads the word of 'Empire'

Bad Religion is set to share the punk-rock gospel with its faithful fans on a fall tour that covers both the U.S. and Canada.

The So-Cal group is initially spreading the message to mosh pits in California before moving on to the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. The tour, which winds up on Nov. 22 at Mulcahy's in Wantaugh, NY, is highlighted by a two-night stand (Nov. 1-2) at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia.

A complete tour itinerary is listed below.

Bad Religion's last record was 2004's "The Empire Strikes First." The album—-the band's 13th studio set—-finds the always politically outspoken group questioning the Bush administration's doctrine of preemptive war, as well as the role of religion in American politics, with such songs as "Sinister Rouge" and "Let Them Eat War."

The band's previous album was 2002's "The Process of Belief," which marked Bad Religion's return to its original label, Epitaph, and the return of guitarist Brett Gurewitz, who left the group to run Epitaph when Bad Religion signed to a major label in the early '90s.
