Briefly: Bruce Springsteen, Sleater-Kinney, Bo Bice, C.C. DeVille
Sirius Satellite Radio will launch E Street Radio, a commercial-free channel devoted exclusively to the music of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, on Nov. 1.
The station's launch coincides with the 30th anniversary of the release of Springsteen's landmark "Born to Run" album, an expanded and remastered version of which will hit stores Nov. 15.
E Street Radio is currently scheduled to run on Sirius through Jan. 31.
Sleater-Kinney has called off its planned November tour of Europe because singer/guitarist Carrie Brownstein "has suffered two severe allergic reactions within the past four months, both resulting in trips to the emergency room," according to a statement issued by the band.
"Her doctor has advised that she not travel/tour for prolonged periods of time until the condition stabilizes and further tests are conducted," the statement continued.
Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille, 43, reportedly was sentenced to 80 days in jail and five years probation after pleading no contest to a charge of driving under the influence causing injury.
DeVille, whose real name is Bruce Johannesson, reportedly rammed a parked car while backing out of a driveway. His girlfriend was injured when his vehicle's airbag deployed.
The release date of Bo Bice 's debut solo album has been pushed back two weeks to Dec. 13. Among the contributors to the "American Idol" runner-up's set are Ben Moody (formerly of Evanescence), Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora.
