Reverend Horton Heat unwraps a psychobilly Christmas

Clay Aiken, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Brian Setzer should watch their backs. There's a newcomer looking to be crowned king of the holiday concert season, and his name is the Reverend Horton Heat .

The Rev (singer/guitarist Jim Heath) and his regular crew (bassist Jimbo Wallace and drummer Scott Churilla) will hit the road in support of the first-ever "psychobilly" Christmas album, "We Three Kings," in December.

Following four Texas dates in October and November, the trio that brought us 1992's seminal "Smoke 'em If You Got 'em" CD will spend the entire month of December on tour, beginning Dec. 1 in Kansas City, MO, and will continue to deliver the greaser rock 'n' roll to cities in the Midwest and Northeast through Dec. 21.

After the Christmas break, the Rev will once again pick up his guitar and lead a New Year's Eve charge, beginning Dec. 28 in Tempe, AZ, and ending Dec. 31 in Santa Rosa, CA.

A complete tour itinerary for the artist is included below.

"We Three Kings" is a collection of 12 well-known holiday favorites, including such Christmas-season classics as "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Run Rudolph Run," "Silver Bells" and "Pretty Paper." The disc also includes one original composition, "Santa on the Roof."
