MMW spells out more tour dates

Medeski Martin & Wood live up to their well-deserved reputation as true road warriors by announcing dates that continue into early 2006.

The experimental jam-based jazz trio kicks off the first batch of shows Monday (10/31) with its annual Halloween shindig in New York. This time MMW will celebrate the most ghoulish day of the year at the city's Hammerstein Ballroom.

The threesome will continue to concentrate on the Northeast through a Nov. 12 date in Lancaster, PA. Following a trip to Europe, MMW will return to the states for a Dec. 2 in Knoxville, TN, and then perform six more shows in the Southeast, ending Dec. 10.

MMW will celebrate the New Year in Japan before moving back across the Pacific for a trio of shows in Colorado in January, including a two-night stand at Boulder's Fox Theatre that begins Jan. 14.

The complete U.S. tour itinerary is listed below.

The band--comprised of keyboardist John Medeski, drummer Billy Martin and bassist Chris Wood—-is still touring in support of its late 2004 release "End of the World Party (Just in Case)," produced by John King of the Dust Brothers, who notably produced such classics as Beck's "Odelay" and Beastie Boys' "Paul's Boutique."
