Disturbed unveils cities, opening act for winter tour
After spending most of November and December working clubs and theaters throughout the Northeast and Midwest, Disturbed will turn its attention to the West and South during the second round of Jagermeister shows, which kick off during the first week in January. So far, stops are planned in the 17 cities shown in the itinerary below; dates and venues for the second leg have not yet been confirmed.
Disturbed is hitting the road behind "Ten Thousand Fists," which follows 2002's "Believe." The new set, which surfaced in late September, sold about 240,000 copies during its first week in stores, enough for a No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 chart.
Disturbed recorded "Ten Thousand Fists" in its hometown of Chicago, and co-produced the set with Johnny K, who also guided the band's 3.4-million-selling 2000 set, "The Sickness," and the platinum-plus-selling "Believe," which also debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200.
Southern metal outfit Corrosion of Conformity is backing its latest album, "In the Arms of God," which surfaced in April. The set is the group's first new studio release since 2000's "America's Volume Dealer."
"A Cruel World," Bloodsimple's debut release, landed in stores earlier this year.
