Briefly: Santana, Eric Clapton, Lindsay Lohan, MTV Europe
A Nov. 15 release date is set for the DVD "Santana Live by Request," which was recorded for the cable-TV concert series "A&E Live by Request."
Among the dozen songs that appear on the disc are "Smooth" (featuring Rob Thomas), "Black Magic Woman," "Game of Love" (featuring Michelle Branch) and "Oye Como Va."
Eric Clapton has renewed his contract with Reprise, the label he's been with since 1983.
"I am happy to continue my relationship with Reprise Records," Clapton said in a press release announcing the deal. "We've done a lot in the past 25 years, and there's still plenty of music yet to be made."
Exactly when that new music will be made remains an open question; Clapton hasn't announced plans to record new material.
The release date for Lindsay Lohan 's sophomore album, which was originally scheduled to hit stores Nov. 22, has been pushed back to Dec. 10. Titled "A Little More Personal (Raw)," the set is the follow-up to the actress/singer's million-selling 2004 debut, "Speak."
Taking home a pair trophies each, Coldplay and Green Day were the top winners at Thursday's (11/3) MTV Europe Music Awards, which took place at Lisbon's Atlantic Pavilion.
