Brooks & Dunn loading up schedule for February
Country duo Brooks & Dunn have scheduled a February run of shows--mostly at casinos--as the pair continues to support October's "Hillbilly Deluxe" album.
After a few scattered appearances leading up to their New Year's Eve show in Nashville, the duo of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will kick off their short February stint with a Feb. 11 show at Verona, NY's Turning Stone Resort & Casino.
The trek will include two nights at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, beginning Feb. 18, and will conclude with a Feb. 26 appearance in Tucson, AZ.
The pair spent most of the summer and fall participating in the Deuces Wild tour with fellow country acts Big & Rich and The Warren Brothers. The 30-plus-date tour wrapped up in late October.
"Hillbilly Deluxe," the pair's ninth album, hit stores in early October. Working with producer Tony Brown (Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris," Brooks & Dunn have said they consider the album a return to their honky-tonk roots.
"Hillbilly Deluxe is very much a coming of age for us--who we are, what we have to say. Just doing it," Dunn explained in a press release. "For me, there’s a certain void of unrest, a hunger that will never be satisfied--and that battle to maintain some kind of balance."
