Nine Inch Nails book more U.S. shows for December
The industrial icons have lined up a trio of headlining shows in the West, with early December stops planned in Santa Cruz and San Luis Obispo, CA; and Reno, NV. Tickets for the Santa Cruz and Reno concerts hit the box office Saturday (11/19), while those for the San Luis Obispo show--which is set at the California Polytechnic State University Rec Center--are on sale now. A limited number of tickets for the Cal Poly show are available to students at a discounted price; more information is available at the venue's website.
Also on tap for NIN is a Dec. 10 performance at Los Angeles radio station KROQ's annual "Almost Acoustic Christmas" concert, which also features Depeche Mode, Coldplay, The White Stripes and more. Details are posted at the station's website.
Meanwhile, NIN will wrap up its current North American leg with performances Saturday (11/19) in Oakland, CA, and Sunday (11/20) in San Diego. The group launched the run Sept. 16 in San Diego, but is returning to that city for the tour's finale because the first show was cut short when drummer Jerome Dillon experienced symptoms brought on by a heart condition. The Oakland show is a makeup date for an originally planned Sept. 30 performance that was postponed when Dillon again suffered symptoms of the heart condition, since which time the group has forged ahead with drummer Alex Carapetis filling in for the recuperating Dillon.
A few South American shows follow the conclusion of the current North American leg. Details are available at NIN's website.
Nine Inch Nails are touring behind their May release, "With Teeth," which is the group's first new studio set since 1999's "The Fragile." The new disc debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
