California-bred headbangers Avenged Sevenfold [ tickets ] are set to spread more "Evil" around as they plot the second leg of a national tour in support of the band's breakthrough album, "City of Evil."

The first leg of the band's U.S. tour ends Friday (12/2) in Las Vegas, but the Warped Tour veterans will jump right back into the swing of things after taking a break for the holidays, kicking off the tour's second leg in January, and eventually hitting around 20 mid-size venues.

Avenged Sevenfold [ tickets ]--which got support from Saosin [ tickets ] and Death by Stereo [ tickets ] for its fall dates--will be joined by CKY on the next leg of its tour.

Before the start of the January/February swing, the band will make an appearance at the Dec. 10 KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show in Universal City, CA, sharing a bill with System of a Down, Nine Inch Nails, Korn and other acts.

Avenged Sevenfold--vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, guitarist Zachy Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer The Rev--released "City of Evil" in June. Producer Mudrock, who also worked on the band's previous album, 2003's "Waking the Fallen," was again behind the dials for the band.

The video for the "City of Evil" single "Bat Country" is in rotation on the music cable channel Fuse, and the song "Beast and the Harlot" appears on the soundtrack of EA's video game "Burnout Revenge."
