Pennywise lines up early 2006 shows
Rock quartet Pennywise has scrapped a planned Australian tour, but will hit the U.S. club and theater circuit early next year.
The California-based group has rolled out a January itinerary that focuses on the Southwest, beginning with a mid-month, two-night stand in Los Angeles. That run will follow back-to-back shows later this month at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Details appear below.
Earlier this week, Pennywise confirmed that it had scrapped its planned February tour of Australia due to "unforeseen circumstances," according to a message posted at its website. The cancellation had apparently caused some fans to speculate that the group was breaking up.
"Despite rumors to the contrary, Pennywise has not broken up," the group said in a statement posted at the site. "Pennywise loves Australia and hopes to make it back sometime in 2006."
Pennywise continues to back its eighth album, "The Fuse," which surfaced in August.
