Brad Paisley maps winter leg of 'Time Well Wasted' tour
With the book now closed on his 2005 tour schedule, country singer Brad Paisley has turned his attention to planning an early 2006 outing.
Paisley is currently scheduled to get back on the road in mid-January to tackle an itinerary that will take him throughout the U.S. and Canada. Dates so far stretch through the end of March, and a handful of summer shows have also been confirmed.
Terri Clark, Billy Currington, Jonny Reid and Sara Evans will rotate through the opening slots during the trek. Details are included in the itinerary shown below.
Paisley, who wrapped up his 2005 roadwork Sunday (12/11), is backing his latest album, "Time Well Wasted." Released in August, the disc sold about 193,000 copies during its first week in stores, marking the most albums Paisley has ever sold during a one-week period. The strong first-week performance landed the disc in the top slot on Billboard's Country Albums chart, and at No. 2 on The Billboard 200.
Paisley recorded "Time Well Wasted" in Nashville with producer Frank Rogers. The set follows 2003's "Mud on the Tires."
Last week, "Time Well Wasted" pulled down a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. The set's hit single "Alcohol," meanwhile, is nominated for Best Country Male Vocal Performance and Best Country Song, and the cut "Time Warp" is vying for Best Country Instrumental.
The 48th annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will air live on CBS-TV.
