The Fray enters in new tour dates
Alternative rockers The Fray have announced new tour dates in support of their recent album "How to Save a Life."
The Denver-based quartet still has a few shows to play on its current outing before the new run of dates kicks off Jan. 25 in Aspen, CO. The band has recently been appearing at various radio station showcases, including Tuesday's (12/13) appearance in Louisville, KY, for FM station WXMA.
"How to Save a Life," the band's debut album, hit stores in September. The band (vocalist Isaac Slade, guitarist Joe King, guitarist Dave Welsh and drummer Ben Wysocki) formed in Denver in 2002 when old schoolmates Slade and Wysocki bumped into each other by chance at a record store, according to the band's bio.
The Fray's demo recordings began getting airplay on local stations, and the band was voted Best New Band by Denver's Westword magazine, leading to the members signing with Epic Records in 2004.
Sony's online music store currently has a promotion in which customers who purchase The Fray's "How to Save a Life" receive a free bonus disc containing four live tracks.
