Briefly: Rolling Stones, Black Crowes, Trey Anastasio, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood
The Rolling Stones are set to play a free, Feb. 18 gig at Brazil's Copacabana Beach.
According to the Stones' official website, the main stage will be located in front of the Copacabana Palace Hotel. A crew of nearly 1,500 will assemble the main stage, along with a second stage that extends 180 feet into the audience.
Trey Anastasio will join The Black Crowes for their New Year's Eve concert at New York's Madison Square Garden. Anastasio and his band will play a 90-minute set following openers North Mississippi Allstars. My Morning Jacket have backed out of the gig, citing illness, according to the Crowes' publicist.
Fellow country stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood wed Saturday (12/10) at their Oklahoma home. The marriage is the second for Brooks and the third for Yearwood.
