Nickelback adds Danko Jones to bill, maps more U.S. shows
Danko Jones has landed a slot on fellow Canadian rock group Nickelback 's winter headlining tour of its home country, which, as previously reported, will also feature Live .
The three bands hit the road together starting Jan. 17, and will kick things off with a show in Prince George, British Columbia. A total of a dozen Canadian stops are spread from mid-January through mid-February.
Sandwiched in the middle of the Canadian trek is a swing through the U.S. Midwest, during which Trapt will take over the opening slot. Details are included below.
A round of March shows will be announced in the New Year, according to Roadrunner Records.
Nickelback's latest album, "All the Right Reasons," hit stores in October, and sold about 317,000 copies during its first week out, enough to grab a No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 chart.
Live has announced a March 21 release for its next album, "Songs From Black Mountain." The set's first single, "The River," will hit radio stations Jan. 17, according to the band's website.
Danko Jones--which has been touring most of this year behind its first U.S. release, "We Sweat Blood"--has finished work on a follow-up that is due out next May. The band plans to shoot a video for the first single, "First Date," in February, according to Razor & Tie Records.
