Pennywise keeps 'The Fuse' burning with more shows
Rockers Pennywise continue adding dates to their forthcoming roadtrip behind this year's "The Fuse," a run that will feature fellow punk outfit No Use for a Name .
The two California groups hit the road in mid-January with a Los Angeles engagement that has now grown to encompass three consecutive nights, and will largely focus their efforts on their home state, where new stops have also been set in San Francisco, Bakersfield and Santa Cruz. Details are included below.
Released in August, "The Fuse" follows Pennywise's 2003 set, "From the Ashes." The group recorded the new album with a different philosophy than it had during the making of previous works.
"We made a conscious effort to just go in and plug in and play and not over-analyze things as much as we have in the past," frontman Jim Lindberg said in a statement. "We made 'The Fuse' in half the time of the last record and having that mindset going into it made us put more energy into our performances and gave the album more immediacy."
No Use for a Name issued its latest, "Keep Them Confused," in June. The album is the group's first since 2002's "Hard Rock Bottom."
