Buckethead gets cooking with winter tour
Enigmatic guitarist Buckethead will don his customary mask and Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket during an early 2006 outing that supports his latest album, "Enter the Chicken."
The axe slinger has lined up a series of February dates and one March show, all of which are set in the West.
Joining Buckethead on the road will be drummer Pinchface and bassist Delray Brewer.
"Enter the Chicken" surfaced in October on System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian's Serjical Strike Records. Tankian produced the set, and is also one of 11 artists who contributed lead vocals. Other guests include Saul Williams, Efrem Schulz (Death by Stereo), Maura Davis (Denali, Bella Lea), Azam Ali (Vas, Niyaz), Bad Acid Trip, Maximum Bob (Deli Creeps), Gigi, Shana Halligan and Ani Maldjian.
The album features the cut "We Are One," which also turned up on October's "Masters of Horror" soundtrack. The song's music video features Buckethead as a "benevolent cabin dweller, intent on bringing animal carcasses back to life," according to a press release, as well as Tankian, who portrays "an animal control agent who delivers carcasses to Buckethead's remote cabin." Ultimately, the carcasses "seek revenge on an unsuspecting Buckethead."
The "We Are One" video is streaming at Buckethead's website, as is a documentary about the making of the clip.
