The body of Barry Cowsill, who sang and played bass for the '60s pop act The Cowsills , was recovered Dec. 28 from the Chartres Street Wharf in New Orleans, according to published reports.

Cowsill, who was 51, hadn't been heard from since Sept. 1--a few days after Hurricane Katrina struck--when he left a message on his sister Susan's cellphone. The cause of death is unknown.

The Cowsills, who were the model for television's The Partridge Family, are best known for their hits "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" and for the theme to the musical "Hair."

Vietnamese prosecutors on Friday (1/6) formally charged British rocker Gary Glitter , 61, with committing obscene acts with girls aged 10 and 11.

Glitter reportedly is accused of kissing and other physical acts with the girls, crimes he allegedly committed at his rental home in a Vietnamese resort village.

If found guilty, Glitter, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, could face a three- to seven-year jail sentence. He has been detained in Vietnam since November.
