Ben Taylor [ tickets ], the son of fellow singer/songwriters James Taylor and Carly Simon, backs his sophomore album, "Another Run Around the Sun," during a late-winter tour of the U.S.

Taylor is scheduled to start working the club and theater circuit in early February and has dates stacked up through mid-March. Details are included below.

In addition to performing songs from last year's "Another Run Around the Sun" and his 2003 debut, "Famous Among the Barns," Taylor plans to road-test some new material.

"A lot of these songs have just been waiting for a proper tour since we finished the album," Taylor said in a statement. "It will be nice to finally get them out of the studio and into the real world."

Following the September 2005 release of "Another Run Around the Sun," Taylor hit the road for a series of October dates with Tracy Chapman, then joined his mother and sister, Sally Taylor, for a round of November and December concerts.

Taylor credits his mother for teaching him how to write lyrics, but says that his father had a big influence on his overall songwriting.

"The truth is, the songs I write really are similar to my dad�s," he said in a press release. "That�s no surprise: I grew up mostly playing his music on guitar, and he was the songwriter who influenced me the most, especially on the musical side, while my mom taught me how to write lyrics."
