Briefly: Prince, 50 Cent, 'NSync, Tommy Lee
Prince will be the musical guest on the Feb. 4 episode of NBC's "Saturday Night Live." He'll be promoting the March 21 release of his new album, "3121."
Luther Campbell, formerly of 2 Live Crew, reportedly has filed a copyright infringement suit against 50 Cent.
The complaint alleges that some of the lyrics from 50's 2003 hit "In Da Club" were taken from the 1994 Campbell track "It's Your Birthday."
The Associated Press reports that 'NSync's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone are developing a comedy/reality show for the UPN network with a working title of "Out of Sync." The "Odd Couple"-like show, in which Fatone will play the messy Oscar to Bass' tidy Felix, is expected to debut this fall.
Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee has recorded a cover version of The O'Jays' "Love Train," which will be included in the upcoming motion picture "Final Destination 3."
The film arrives in theaters on Feb. 10; the track will serve as the movie's end title song.
