Tour dates multiply for 311

311 has lined up a brief, late-winter tour, the itinerary for which includes the group's annual March 11 "3-11 Day" concert.

The Omaha-based alt-rockers plan to hit the road in late February for 11 mainland-US shows that run through mid-March, followed by three Hawaiian performances in late March. Details are included below.

The band's "3-11 Day" show, which in recent years has taken place at New Orleans' UNO Lakefront Arena, has been moved Memphis, TN, due to the continued aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

"While the UNO Lakefront Arena did not suffer from flood waters, it did sustain substantial wind damages," the group wrote in a message posted at its website. "The entire roof, soffit and fascia of the facility are in the process of being replaced. UNO projected a March 1st re-opening, but we just got news from city officials & FEMA that the building will have to remain closed until Summer 2006 to accommodate further testing, repairs and construction."

The group went on to say that it "looks forward to its return to the Crescent City in the near future."

311 continues to back its eighth album, "Don't Tread on Me," which surfaced last August and debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set follows the group's previous studio set, 2003's "Evolver," and its 2004 best-of collection, "Greatest Hits."
