Alkaline Trio bleeds out more 'Crimson' dates
Punk-pop outfit Alkaline Trio is lining up dates for a spring tour on the US club and theater circuit as the threesome continues to support last year's "Crimson."
The roadtrip is currently scheduled to kick off at the end of March, and dates so far stretch into mid-April. Details are included below.
Last May, Alkaline Trio dropped "Crimson," its follow-up to 2003's "Good Mourning." The group recorded the new set with producer Jerry Finn (Green Day, Blink-182).
In December, the band issued an updated version of the set, dubbed "Crimson: Deluxe Edition," that features the original tracklisting, as well as demos for 10 of the songs, four acoustic tracks and two videos.
"The two-disc edition is something we wanted to do when the album was first released," drummer Derek Grant said in a statement posted at the group's website. "We put a lot into these songs, and they were in great shape prior to going into the studio. We want people to see a bit of the creative process, as we are very proud of the work done for this record."
"Burn," a cut originally featured on "Crimson," can also be found on the "Underworld: Evolution" soundtrack, which hit stores earlier this month. The cut is streaming at the film's MySpace.com website.
