Armor for Sleep launches long road trip
Emo rockers Armor for Sleep are kicking off their headlining tour with a bang, logging advance sellouts of several dates as the band supports its current release, 2005's "What to Do When You Are Dead."
The New Jersey band's "Invisible Sideshow" tour hits Boston Thursday (1/26) and rolls on through a mid-March conclusion. Boys Night Out , Chiodos and Action Reaction will hold down the opening slots for all remaining dates on the tour.
Five of the band's upcoming shows are already sold out, including the aforementioned Boston show. The other sell-outs are dates in Albany, NY; New York, NY; Orlando, FL; and Portland, OR, according to the group's label publicist.Tickets for all other shows are still available.
"What to Do When You Are Dead," the band's sophomore effort, hit stores last February. The band worked with producer Machine (White Zombie, King Crimson) for two months in an assortment of Hoboken, NJ, studios to record the album. The resulting CD followed the band's 2003 debut, "Dream to Make Believe."
