Coldplay , Nickelback and Michael Buble will be among the performers at this year's Juno Awards ceremony, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys.
The event is set for April 2 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and will air live on Canada's CTV network. More performers will be announced.
The nominations for the 35th Annual Juno Awards will be unveiled on Feb. 15.
An all-star cast of guests including Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Merle Haggard, Buddy Guy and Alison Krauss will be on hand in Los Angeles for guitar legend Les Paul 's 90th birthday celebration, set for Feb. 7 at Gibson Amphitheatre.
Tickets for the show are priced from $42.50 to $104.50, not including taxes and fees, and are on sale now.
Hank Williams Jr. --the voice behind the "Are You Ready for Some Football" theme that has kicked off "Monday Night Football" telecasts since 1989--will make his fifth Super Bowl appearance this year.
According to an Associated Press report, Williams was in Los Angeles this week to film the opening introduction to Feb. 5's NFL championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks.
Pete Doherty , the former member of The Libertines who now fronts the band Babyshambles, reportedly was ordered jailed until Feb. 8 after he pleaded guilty to his second drug-possession charge in a week on Thursday (1/26).
The London arrests were the latest in a long line of drug-related offenses for Doherty, who could face up to seven years in prison.
