Kid Rock readies live album, expands tour
Detroit's Kid Rock is in for a busy month that includes the launch of a US arena tour--the schedule for which continues to grow--and the release of his first live album.
Dubbed "Live Trucker," the forthcoming disc features material recorded at "various Michigan locations in 2000 and 2004," according to a press release. A complete track listing is posted at Rock's website.
Originally set for Feb. 14, the "Live Trucker" release has twice been pushed back, and the album is now expected to arrive in stores on Feb. 28. The new street date means that Rock and his band, Twisted Brown Trucker, will be on the road for almost two weeks before the disc hits the shelves.
Rock and company kick off their outing Feb. 16 in Hollywood, FL, and are scheduled to work the road through at least mid-April. The itinerary features a several new dates, including a March 31 stop in New York City. Details are shown below.
Last month, Rock played a handful of shows, including a pre-Super Bowl, two-night stand at his hometown's Joe Louis Arena. Tickets for the first of those shows sold out in six minutes. A second show was added and sold out nine minutes later, according to a press release.
Rock's most recent studio release is his 2003 self-titled set, which features his cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love."
