Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp reportedly was arrested Saturday (2/11) at Los Angeles International Airport and booked on public intoxication charges after allegedly behaving belligerently before boarding a flight to Hawaii.
Stapp's arrest came just one day after he was married in Miami to former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat.
The singer was freed after being transferred to the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys substation. He is due in court on March 8 for an arraignment hearing.
Rapper J Dilla (born James Yancy) died Friday (2/10) in Los Angeles of complications related to lupus. He was 32.
J Dilla broke through as a founding member of the Detroit rap trio Slum Village , a group he left in 2003 to go solo. He issued his solo debut, "Champion Sound," in 2003, and just released the instrumental set "Donuts" last week.
Former Sunny Day Real Estate member Jeremy Enigk is expected to release his second solo album this summer. He'll support it with a European tour that gets underway in July, and a US tour that launches in August.
According to a press release, Enigk and co-producer Josh Myers began recording the album late last year, and expect to finish work on the as-yet-untitled set later this month.
On March 14, the reissue label Collectors Choice Music will re-release the nine albums Dean Martin recorded for Capitol Records between 1953 and 1962, as well as compilations of various non-LP singles that Capitol released in the mid '60s.
