Kittie stakes out late-spring trek
London, Ontario-based metal outfit Kittie has scratched in stone a spring tour to push its new digital EP, "Never Again."
The US tour kicks off March 31 in Bedford, NH, and wraps up May 13 in Hartford, CT.
Breaking its two-year silence, Kittie released "Never Again"--which includes the title track, "Breathe," "This Too Shall Pass" and the iTunes exclusive "Everything That Could Have Been"--on Feb. 7, and the set reached No. 20 on iTunes' rock download chart. Previews of the songs are available at Kittie's MySpace website.
The all-female quintet--which features guitarist/vocalist Morgan Lander and her sister Mercedes Lander on drums, as well as guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Trish Doan--issued its third full-length album, "Until the End," in 2004. "Never Again" is Kittie's first album to include McLeod and Doan.
Original Kittie guitarist Fallon Bowman left the band in 2001, and original bassist Talena Atfield jumped ship in 2002.
The Lander sisters have started a side project as well, a clothing company called Poisoned Black Clothing.
