The itinerary for The Strokes [ tickets ]' upcoming run on the U.S. theater circuit continues to grow, and the group has tapped Eagles of Death Metal [ tickets ] to hold down the tour's opening slot.

The outing's New York City launch has now grown to three nights--March 1, 3 and 4--and new stops have been added in Las Vegas, the Los Angeles area, Detroit and Cleveland. Tickets for the new shows, as well as some previously announced dates, will roll out over the next few weekends. Details are included below.

The Strokes are working the road behind last month's "First Impressions of Earth," the follow-up to 2003's "Room on Fire." The new set features the cuts "Juicebox" and latest single "Heart in a Cage." The music video for the latter cut was shot in New York City with director Sam Bayer, and is scheduled to debut later this week. More information is available at the band's website.

Eagles of Death metal released their debut album, "Peace, Love & Death Metal," in 2004. Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, under the alias Carlo Von Sexron, handles the drums for EOD.
