O.A.R. follows winter run with spring tour
Rockers O.A.R. , who hit the road last month to tackle a round of winter dates that wrap up this weekend, will barely have time to catch their breath before climbing back aboard their tour bus.
The group has rolled out a six-week stretch of spring shows that kick off March 17 in Washington, DC, and focus primarily on the Northeast and Midwest.
The group has also signed on for a July 20 performance at the 10,000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, MN.
Details for all of the currently confirmed dates are included below.
O.A.R. continues to back last October's "Stories of a Stranger," which the band recorded with veteran producer and former Talking Heads member Jerry Harrison, whose recent credits include albums from Live, The Verve Pipe and The Von Bondies. Recording sessions took place in Virginia, California and New York City.
Guests on the set include keyboardist Bernie Worrell (Parliament) and Toby Lightman, who lends backing vocals to the album's first single, "The Stranger," and additional track "Heard the World."
The group also collaborated with producer/songwriter Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews Band) on the cuts "Program Director" and "Love and Memories," the latter of which is streaming at O.A.R.'s website.
