Sia maps club tour to support US album release

Singer/songwriter Sia will set out on a 12-date trek spanning late March to mid-April as she supports the recent North American release of her 2004 album, "Colour the Small One."

The Australian singer--whose full name is Sia Furler--will launch her outing with a March 18 appearance at the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. The remainder of her US shows will hit small clubs in major cities around the country.

"Colour the Small One" was recently reissued in the U.S. and Canada by Astralwerks. Sia released her debut album, "Healing is Difficult," in 2002.

"I just wanted to make an album that was more song driven, and I've changed as a person," Sia said of "Colour the Small One" in her online bio. "After the first album I lost it, and this album reflects how I was feeling. The vocals are small and needy, because that's how I felt."

The singer scored her first success in 2000, when her first single, "Taken For Granted," unexpectedly broke into the Australian Top 10 chart.

US listeners may be familiar with Sia even if they're not aware of the fact. Her song "Breathe Me" was used in the final scene of the "Six Feet Under" series finale.
