Briefly: Def Leppard, Journey, Rod Stewart, Yanni
Monsters of '80s rock Def Leppard and Journey will team to co-headline a US amphitheater tour this summer.
Just one show has been confirmed thus far: a July 13 appearance at Atlanta's Chastain Park Amphitheatre.
Rod Stewart has been ordered to pay more than $3 million to a Las Vegas casino for keeping his advance after he canceled a December 2000 performance.
A US district judge also ordered Stewart's lawyers to pay more than $150,000 for allegedly failing to turn over information to attorneys for plaintiff Harrah's Entertainment before trial.
The judge handed down the decisions in the wake of a 2005 federal jury finding that Stewart should not have kept the advance for a New Year's 2000 show that he wasn't able to perform due to throat surgery.
Stewart's attorneys said they plan to appeal the jury verdict and the award, according to an Associated Press report.
New age keyboardist Yanni --whose legal name is John Yanni Christopher—reportedly was arrested at his Florida home Friday (3/3) after his girlfriend claimed he assaulted her.
The alleged victim, Silvia Barthes, reportedly told police that the musician asked her to leave his home, than assaulted her as she was packing.
Yanni denied the charges to police, and claimed that Barthes kicked him and injured his finger.
