Road warriors P.O.D. 'Testify' during headlining run
Rockers P.O.D. will back their latest album, "Testify," with a spring outing dubbed "The Warriors Tour 2: Guilt by Association," which will also feature Pillar , The Chariot , and Maylene & The Sons of Disaster.
The trek is currently scheduled to launch April 20 in Philadelphia and work its way west for a May 21 finale in Seattle. So far, stops are set in 23 cities. Details are shown below.
The tour "recalls the punk rock spirit of the band's original Warriors Tour of 1998, with smaller venues and cheap tickets," according to a press release.
Tickets for a number of shows are on sale now, and prices average $20 or less before applicable service charges, according to a spot check of Ticketmaster at press time. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)
In January, P.O.D. offered up "Testify," its fourth studio set for Atlantic Records. The disc features the cut "Goodbye for Now," which is streaming at the band's website.
The "Goodbye for Now" music video recently became the group's fourth to top MTV's "Total Request Live" countdown, according to Atlantic.
P.O.D. co-produced "Testify" with super-producer Glen Ballard, whose credits include work with the Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith and Van Halen. The set debuted at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
