Sheryl Crow rebounds for make-up shows

Sheryl Crow , who last month scrapped plans for a North American outing after undergoing surgery for breast cancer, has begun rescheduling those shows.

So far, the singer/songwriter has penciled in a two-week stretch of June shows, most of which are set in the South and Midwest, as well as an early July, two-night stand in Ontario. Details are shown below.

Those holding tickets for Crow's postponed shows in the cities that she is now scheduled to hit this summer can use their existing tickets to gain entry to the make-up performances, according to her website.

In addition to the newly announced batch of shows, organizers are also hoping to book Crow for make-up stops in Omaha, NE; Newark, NJ; Manchester, NH; Norfolk, VA; Erie, PA; Verona, NY; and London, Ontario. Previously scheduled shows in Houston, St. Louis and Atlantic City, however, have been canceled outright due to "scheduling complications," according to the info posted at Crow's site.

The new headlining stops lead up to Crow's previously announced July 7-8 opening set for the Dave Matthews Band at Boston's Fenway Park.

Crow revealed last month that she had undergone surgery for "minimally invasive breast cancer." According to a statement issued by Interscope Records, Crow's doctors describe her prognosis as "excellent," though the singer/songwriter will receive radiation treatment as a precaution.

"Wildflower," Crow's follow-up to 2002's "C'mon C'mon," hit stores last fall. The new set features the cut "Always on Your Side," which Crow recently re-recorded as a duet with fellow singer/songwriter Sting. Fans who already own a copy of "Wildflower" can get the new track for free via a page set up at Crow's website. The track is also available via Apple's iTunes Music Store, as is a deluxe edition of "Wildflower" that includes the duet, as well as three additional tracks that didn't appear on the original version of the album: a live version of "If It Makes You Happy" and acoustic versions of "Where Has All the Love Gone" and "Letter to God."
