Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani [ tickets ] has mapped a slew of new dates for his upcoming tour behind his recently released album, "Super Colossal," which features fellow axe-slinger Eric Johnson.

Since last check, Satriani's itinerary has more than doubled in size, and now runs from the beginning of April through mid-May. Tickets for most dates are on sale now, while those for stops in Las Vegas, San Diego, Vancouver and Portland, OR, are scheduled to hit the box office in the coming days. Details are shown in the itinerary below.

Included on Satriani's schedule is an April 20 appearance at the Sixth Annual Jammy Awards in New York City. Other acts scheduled to perform include moe., Little Feat, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Blues Traveler, Peter Frampton, Richie Havens, Baaba Maal, Mutaytor, McCoy Tyner, Savion Glover, Mad Professor, Angelique Kidjo, Steve Kimock, Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction, Bettye LaVette, Guster, Martin Sexton and DJ Logic.

"Super Colossal," Satriani's 10th studio set, landed in stores earlier this month. The veteran guitarist's website features streaming audio and video of the album's title track, as well as a series of podcasts that feature his track-by-track commentary.

Johnson also recently issued two DVDs: an instructional video titled "The Art of Guitar," and "Live from Austin Texas," which captures his Dec. 14, 1998 performance on "Austin City Limits Live."
