Texas pop group Bowling for Soup will roll through various family events this summer as it continues to push its 2005 release "Goes to the Movies."
The Grammy-nominated band--lead vocalist/guitarist Jaret Reddick, guitarist/vocalist Chris Burney, bassist Erik Chandler and drummer Gary Wiseman--is so far scheduled to play festivals, theme parks and state fairs in Minnesota, Texas, Louisiana, California, Iowa, Wisconsin, New York and Oklahoma. Details are in the itinerary below.
"Goes to the Movies" features Bowling for Soup's takes on the "Jimmy Neutron Theme," Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" (from "Freaky Friday"), Modern English's "I Melt with You," the "Gilligan's Island Theme" and Matthew Sweet's "Sick of Myself." The album was produced by Casey Dilorio, Jonathan McEuen and Reddick.
Bowling for Soup released its breakthrough album, "A Hangover You Don't Deserve," in April of 2005, and it spawned the singles "1985," "Ohio (Come Back to Texas)" and "Almost."
