Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows pair for summer trek

The Goo Goo Dolls will dish a new album this month, and will back the set with a summer tour that will team the group with fellow pop-rock outfit the Counting Crows .

The two groups haven't yet revealed their itinerary, but the trek will run from June through September, according info posted at the Goo Goo Dolls' website.

On April 25, the Goo Goo Dolls offer up "Let Love In," the follow-up to 2002's "Gutterflower." The new set's first single, "Stay With You," is streaming at the band's website, and is also available exclusively via Apple's iTunes Music Store as of Tuesday (4/4).

The Goo Goo Dolls, who were scheduled to shoot a video for "Stay With You" on Monday (4/3), will help launch "Let Love In" with a promotional tour that will see the trio turn up at a number of radio stations (details for which are yet to be announced), as well as with appearances on several television shows, including ABC's "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" on April 13; VH1's "Top 20 Countdown" on April 27; and "Live with Regis and Kelly" on April 28.

Counting Crows haven't released a new studio set since 2002's "Hard Candy," but are apparently in the preliminary stages of a follow-up.

"Things are brewing," Crows frontman Adam Duritz wrote in a March message posted at his band's website. "We will, in all likelihood, be seeing you soon. We may even see the inside of a studio soon. Things are stirring. It may even be possible to get me out of my house. Kicking and screaming and being dragged ... but out."
